Finished in Heron White, Build #20 presents with a purity and presence that captures HSV’s philosophy of form following function. The sharp contrast between the flawless white finish and its dark carbon accents — the sculpted bonnet vents, rear diffuser, and splitter detailing — elevates its silhouette into something timeless, powerful, and distinctly Australian.

At its heart beats the revered 6.2-litre supercharged LS9 V8, producing 474kW and 815Nm — the most powerful engine ever fitted to an Australian-built car. Sourced directly from the Corvette ZR1 and paired with the TREMEC TR6060 six-speed manual transmission, the W1 represented a culmination of everything HSV had learned across three decades of performance engineering.

Beneath its bodywork, HSV equipped the W1 with Supashock suspension, developed in collaboration with motorsport partners, alongside AP Racing 410mm carbon-ceramic brakes and 20-inch forged alloys. The result was a car that combined immense power with race-bred precision — a machine capable of both brutal acceleration and delicate balance.

Inside, Build #20 showcases HSV’s dedication to craftsmanship. Alcantara trim, carbon-fibre inlays, and bespoke GTSR W1 badging create an interior that is both purposeful and elegant. The numbered Build #20 plaque reminds its custodian of its exclusive place in Australian motoring history — one of the earliest examples to leave HSV’s Clayton facility before the doors closed forever.
